Shout Out to Kendall Jenner.

Shout Out to Kendall Jenner.

Kendall, girl ..I feel you. Photoshop is literally my best friend.

I don’t know why but I have become obsessed with wanting to know what people use for their skincare. I love finding new products that I might not necessarily come across.

Before having a baby I didn’t have the greatest skin. Add a few pregnancies and an insane amount of hormones, forget it – my skin was an absolute SHIT SHOW. It’s taken me a few tries and during different stages of my life, pregnancy and different seasons, I feel like I have finally found a few products that I can always use without fail. Now I have super sensitive skin, which is normally dry. I can’t just pick up any type of moisturizer or soap and it just magically work for me.

It actually took me a while to find a a cleanser I really liked. It is from PCA Skin. This is one that I’ve been consistently using and I love love love it.

I have to be super picky about what moisturizer I use and even when I put it on. I try not to put it on RIGHT when I get out of the shower and wait a few hours. Sometimes I even have to wait until I wake up in the morning to moisturize. I know, I knowwww – it’s better to put it on right away but sometimes my skin just can’t handle it. A few years ago I started using the Dermalogica Active Moist.
About once a week I use a mask and I love this Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque. I’ve been using this for quite some time now and I honestly swear by it. It hasn’t dried out my skin and leaves it feeling so fresh.
If you’re looking for something to just cleans you off throughout the day, this is a GAME CHANGER. The Mario Badescu Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater Facial Spray – it’s only $7.00 and it’s amazing. It makes me feel so refreshed.
I never really used an under eye cream but one day when I was looking at myself in the mirror, I was like holy shit are you for real? I legit looked like a raccoon and I’m not exaggerating. I started using the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector Concentrate. I received this free sample in one of my Sephora orders – and I haven’t stopped using it since.
I am SOO open to new products. Let me know what you’re using, what you can’t live without and what you just hate.

An open letter to my husband on our second wedding anniversary.

An open letter to my husband on our second wedding anniversary.

Two years ago I stood in the back of a semi-empty courthouse with a few of our close family and friends. I rushed down that tiny isle because I just didn’t want to wait another second not being your wife. It was nothing fancy, just love. We had nothing but each other.

Two years later married life has evolved into our daily routine of work and chaos. I want you to know that I don’t take it for granted, not for one second. Every once in a while, in one of my moments of having a nervous breakdown (daily) as your telling me to get my shit together, I can’t help but smile and think about this person who I met as a kid (has been in love with me since we were 12 years old, obviously), who is so strong, funny, handsome and calm, is MY husband. There are days where I just can’t even believe it.

These words don’t even come close to describing how much I love you. You love my crazy, dramatic, over the top self. Just one eye roll from you and I know everything is going to be okay. We’ve made some amazing memories and had some really shitty days, both of which I’ll happily go through as long as they’re with you. I’m so grateful for these fleeting moments in life that we cherish so much.

From going out to breakfast every weekend to watching our kids own the shit out of us, there’s not one person in the world I would rather be on this roller coaster of marriage with. We are so different, yet we’re exactly the same in so many ways. I thank God every day for bringing you into my life, I’m constantly trying to figure out what I did to deserve someone so selfless as you. I love you. I love us. I love our life together. Happy Anniversary.
